Mangurstadh Gallery in the Western Isles of Scotland, is an artists’ run studio gallery with an exhibition of original art works, craft products and designer furniture by Artists and Makers, Campbell Scanlan, Derek Scanlan, Lorna Scanlan, and Elsie Mitchell. The gallery is sited on the family’s working croft at Mangersta Croft Holidays on the remote west coast of Uig, Isle of Lewis.
Taking inspiration from the wild land and seascapes surrounding the gallery, resident artists, crofters and glampsite hosts Derek Scanlan and Elsie Mitchell create and display oil paintings, pastel drawings, landscape photography and art works incorporating handmade plant fibre paper. Campbell Scanlan is a designer and maker of bespoke kitchens and furniture. An award winning graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, Campbell is based in a cabinet making workshop in Uig, Isle of Lewis and welcomes commissions from clients across Scotland.
