THE FIRE PIT

A highlight for many guests staying at Mangersta Croft Holidays is the shared fire pit within a stunning drystone wall enclosure, with oak bench seating built into the circular walls. The fire pit is a communal space which all guests can use for free. There is a BBQ and BBQ tools to use for outdoor cooking. Charcoal can be purchased from our local Uig Community Shop. There is also the option to cook directly over the fire. Guests are welcome to bring their own logs but we also have firewood available to purchase onsite. This is a great space for BBQS and Camp fires under the darkest skies in the UK. Enjoy a west coast sunset and wait for the stars to come out while chatting around the fire.

November Morning Mangersta Beach
Pastel Seascape by Derek Scanlan

"Best holiday in years. The pods and huts are comfy, warm and incredibly well equipped."

"Our favourite place out of all those we stayed on the Island. Peaceful secluded, & the area is beautiful, just what we wanted. We wandered down to the beach, while the weather was good as advised by our friendly hosts on our arrival & were the only ones on it. Stunning. The Pod was bigger than others we've stayed in. Had everything we needed and was immaculate. Only wished we'd stayed longer."

"Wigwam did the job and location was amazing. Communal bbq on the fire pit a particular highlight (with fantastic fresh mackerel caught the same day by Derek - a brilliant host) and so many stunning beaches right on the door step. Truly unforgettable. We all had a superb time."

"Elsie and Derek are incredibly warm and welcoming. This is truly a magical space to stay. The beach is sandy and private and picture perfect. We will be back as soon as we can."

"We stayed here on our first trip to the Outer Hebrides and what an introduction. Stunning area of Lewis and equally stunning pod and facilities."

“Perfect Lewis holiday.
Stunning location, really close to a beautiful white sand beach. Immaculately maintained accommodation. Super, friendly and helpful hosts. My family had a ball here. We'll definitely return. A total treat to stay in this stunning location."

“We stayed in one of the Shepherd’s Huts here (the red one) and had the most amazing three day stay. The hut was really thoughtfully set up and was very cosy. The most beautiful beach is a five minute walk away – we had it to ourselves and saw sea eagles up on the cliffs. The weather was glorious, the owners of the croft were super-friendly, but not at all intrusive, and have two lovely and well behaved dogs. The area around the croft is full of glorious beaches and wonderful views. Couldn’t fault anything. One of my best holidays ever.”
